Welcome to PMC Movies!
Portable Media Centers and Pocket PCs both easily support full motion video content. There are limitations to the file sizes supported by both formats, so we simplify the process by delivering preformatted movies ready for immediate transfer to Portable Media Center and Pocket PC devices. Many of the movies you find here are public domain offerings available at higher resolution in MPEG-2 format from the Internet Archive. If you've ever tried downloading anything from the Internet Archive, you know the high quality files generally take many hours. We've done the downloading and converted them to a format ready for transfer to PMC devices. This format is also optimized for Pocket PCs with 320x240 resolution. DivX portable movies will be available soon, too.

The Vanity Project Live at Easy Street
Steven Page of Barenaked Ladies fame is currently touring the U.S. in promotion of his collaboration with Stephen Duffy, The Vanity Project. On 28 July 2005, Steven made an appearance at Easy Street Records on Mercer in Seattle, WA. His on stage performance lasted about 45 minutes, where he played a great mix of songs from both The Vanity Project and the extensive Barenaked Ladies catalog. This video documents that performance, complementing the backstage interview by The Chris Pirillo Show. The audio quality is tremendous considering the source was a Panasonic PV-GS150 DV cam. There are a few places where I cut the video between tracks because the camera did some shoe gazing as I waited for feeling to come back to my hand after attempting to keep it still for 10-15 minutes at a time. If you like the tracks from The Vanity Project, by all means purchase the album. It's available through most of the online music services, including Napster and iTunes Music Store.

Music student Cheri Williams (Jane Powell) dreams of bright stage lights and a career on the New York stage like her big sister Jo (Constance Moore). Arriving in New York, she discovers Jo's alter-ego, Bubbles Barton queen of the burlesque spotlight. Music numbers don't have the spontaneity of made-for-the-stage movie adaptations like Oklahoma and South Pacific, instead all numbers are done as part of stage shows. Like many of the B musicals produced during World War II, Delightfully Dangerous comes complete with a happy ending.
